I heard that he was good.. but the fault is the choke chain thingy... i think it quite a misconception tat it mite be pain... but i think it more of a alert or attention purpose. Just tag urself by ur own neckleck or chain once quick & sharp.. not too tight.. & will know. The worse thing is the eletric collar i think..

so my friend is right, Patrick used chocker chain.. i will never do that So your friend is right that he uses choker chain?? Many trainers uses it. Many also don't. If you are not comfortable with it so be it. You asked about him I told you to take a look for yourself, before you could look for youself, you have already formed a bad impression of him. I hope this site is not going to start another chocker chain VS other methods as this topic has been cover quite extensively on the doggie site. How far do you want you go in obedience training? As far as I know in S'pore, other method is not proven in the ring. As a moderator you ask a fair question, I gave a fair reply to your question. But now it seems that I've been SUCKERED in to reply you in this manner. Do what you want if you do not want to use the chocker chain, I'm not here to defend what ever methods that is being used.

I don't have any bad impression over him.. Just that i not into the idea of chocker chain. Actually i meet him b4 @ the Doggie Olympics and he did teach me how to cut my viki's nail and trim his furs around his paws. Even my friend ask me to use choker train to train my dog but i drop that idea..

The worse thing is the eletric collar i think.. What's so bad about?? Because you heard it from somewhere. Because its not a norm?? Everybody seems to agree that its not a way to do it?? Have you sampled the electric collar?? Don't use it if its not your thingy. I use it, it helps me train MY dog better. I'm comfortable with it.

I used to use chocker chain for my 3 dogs(all die liao) it works they got to get things clear, one command one action.. No command stay and sit. Thats how to train a dog. Small dogs i don't encourage as it may hurts them.

Small dogs i don't encourage as it may hurts them. You killed all three dogs using choke chain. You definately done somthing wrong. did'nt it occur to you when your first dog died that it could be you have not followed proper use of the chocker?? No command means the dog will do what it likes ie. being free of all command. If no command means SIT STAY to you, then you'll have so many commands for your dog for every thing else eg. pooh, play, pee. Get my point.
